DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

After months of research, planning and development, American CareSource Holdings (NASDAQ: ANCI) today announced the phased launch of their three new educational and communications portals on the Ancillary Care Services (ACS) website at www.anci-care.com. Built in conjunction with HealthBanks, Inc., an innovative industry leader in internet-based patient communication and health education programs, and Collabrian, an international, award-winning software development and graphic design company specializing in the development of large-scale database-driven desktop and internet applications, the three new portals – Provider, Client, and Patient – will create a value-add service to ACS’ ancillary service providers, PPO, TPA, and payor clients, and the consumer like no other.

“These three portals are important components in our collective efforts to reduce the cost of healthcare spending in the US. Our clients and our providers are committed to providing lower cost alternatives to hospital and physician office-based services. Collectively, our ultimate objective is to make it possible for the consumer to become educated about their healthcare costs and take control of managing their healthcare service options,” said ACS President and CEO David Boone. “Each of these portals will make it possible for our clients, our network providers, and the patient consumer to work together to instigate change in the healthcare industry. We are very excited about the launch of these important educational portals, and view the launch as yet another opportunity for ACS to distinguish itself as an industry leader in the ancillary services segment of healthcare.”

“The phased rollout of the integrated ACS portals will begin with the Provider Portal launch on April 1, 2010, followed by the ACS Client Portal launch on May 1, 2010, and the public-facing Patient Portal on June 1, 2010,” said ACS Chief Information Officer Rost Ginevich. “This collaborative effort between the ACS Development Team, Collabrian and HealthBanks will add tremendous value to our Clients, Providers and Members by simplifying and accelerating many of the interactions between all parties.”
