Vizada Solutions™ Certification Program Gets Results for Service Providers
March 16, 2010 7:48 AM
Satellite 2010 Stand #1529 - Vizada announced today that the Vizada Solutions™ Certification Program (VSCP), the first technical training and accreditation program available in the mobile satellite services (MSS) industry, fully certified eighteen Service Provider (SP) partners from around the world and awarded to nearly fifty partners at least one certificate in either commercial or technical support within its first year. VSCP is designed to help partners to better distinguish themselves in the competitive MSS marketplace with advanced technical skills and solution competencies. The program helps SPs increase their revenue by more successfully selling, supporting and promoting the Vizada Solutions™ portfolio of value added solutions.
Accredited participant Brian Lasagna, Director of Corporate Development at AOS in Dallas, TX, explained, ”Vizada offers the ideal platform for solutions development, and this training program is critical to helping us maximize sales of these solutions. Because Vizada is an independent provider of satellite services, we have confidence that we can structure the best package for our customers' needs across any network.”
This program highlights Vizada’s commitment to provide not only the broadest range of mobile satellite communications and connectivity services, but to also serve as an advanced solutions provider. With two newly established training centers in Rockville, Maryland and Aussaguel, France Service Providers from across North and South America as well as Europe and Asia have sent dozens of trainees to sessions throughout the winter of 2010. Award ceremonies have been held in Berlin, Germany, Phukett, Thailand and most recently in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands at the Vizada Americas Service Provider Partner Conference. Accredited partners leveraged their new skills immediately following graduation and have already seen results such as an increase in average revenue per unit (ARPU).
“Mobile satellite services are evolving rapidly, particularly with those based on IP,” VSCP graduate Ole Peters, CEO of DH-Intercom in Germany. “It is essential to increase awareness and understanding as to the capabilities they offer, but also the potential risks that have to be managed. Vizada is the first provider to come up with a comprehensive and hands-on training scheme geared to helping Service Providers better sell these services to end users.”
VSCP helps Service Providers acquire new commercial and technical support expertise and offers promotional tools to Service Providers that complete the program. To become certified, a Service Provider must send at least two role-related staff through each of the commercial training and technical support training programs. Vizada strongly recommends that all participants complete the full program. The next training sessions for Service Providers located in the Americas take place 23-25 March 2010 at the new, state-of-the-art Technology Demonstration Center in Rockville. Vizada hosts its next EMEA session in Aussaguel 14-15 April 2010.
”Nearly every other technical industry embraces certification programs to ensure ongoing technical excellence and to provide a competitive distinction in the marketplace,” said Bob Baker, President and Chief Operating Officer, Vizada Americas. “The VSCP was the first program of its kind in the MSS industry, and as others have followed, our industry and the end users of satellite communication services are just beginning to reap the many benefits of the commitment to rigorous, ongoing training and quality assurance.”
