The Publicity Club of New England Presents Investor Relations 101 for PR Pros

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest organization for public relations and communications professionals, today announced its program, “Investor Relations 101 for PR Pros.” The program, sponsored by Business Wire, will be held March 15 at the Westin Waltham-Boston in Waltham, Mass. Dinner and networking will start from 6:00 p.m.

For small public and pre-IPO companies, communicating with investors sometimes falls to the lone PR professional, while in larger organizations, PR and IR can operate in silos with little interaction. What about investor relations should the PR professional know? What would IR folks like their PR colleagues to know? And what are the ABCs and 123s of the SEC, IPOs and quarterly earnings communications?

To help PR professionals better understand their IR colleagues and the intricacies of communicating with investors the Publicity Club of New England presents a program with an overview of investor relations and a panel discussion that will include:

  • Jim Buckley, Executive Vice President, and Partner, Sharon Merrill Associates
  • Andy Kramer, Director of Investor Relations, Interactive Data Corporation (NYSE: IDC) and Director, Board of Directors, National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI)

  • Matt Kelly, Editor-in-Chief, Compliance Week
