DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Jericho Systems Corporation, a leading provider of distributed SOA enterprise identity and access management solutions, exhibited at the annual RSA Conference held in San Francisco from March 1-5, 2010 in partnership with OASIS/XSPA.

Jericho also announced that its EnterSpace Policy Decision Point (PDP) was selected by the NHIN as one of the standard components, services and policies to enable secure health information exchange over the Internet.

OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a nonprofit consortium driving development, convergence and adoption of open standards. At the RSA Conference, Jericho Systems was hosted in the OASIS booth that showcased interoperable products and security standards including Cross-Enterprise Security and Privacy Authorization (XSPA). The goal of XSPA is to securely exchange privacy policies, consent directives, and authorizations between healthcare providers, hospitals, pharmacies, and insurance companies. XSPA aligns with security specifications being developed within the U.S. Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP).

In related news, Jericho announced selection of its EnterSpace Policy Decision Point (PDP) as a standard security component of the Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN). The Department of Health & Human Services Health IT Policy Committee develops recommendations based on NHIN standards for the secure exchange of health IT between diverse entities across the country, helping them to comply with provisions of the HITECH Act. By the end of 2010, it is expected that approximately a dozen entities will be securely sharing live health information as part of the operational NHIN.

"Jericho Systems is very pleased to have our EnterSpace PDP recognized as an important component of the NHIN architecture," said Brynn Mow, CEO of Jericho Systems. "We agree with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) that the secure exchange of health information based on NHIN standards will dramatically improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare, while ensuring that privacy is maintained for all Americans."
