Senco Brands Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Senco Brands, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of fasteners and fastening tools to the high-end professional construction and industrial markets, announced today the appointment of Ben Johansen to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Johansen brings with him nearly thirty years of broad-based, executive-level experience, spanning multiple industrial businesses and distribution channels. This experience provides extensive global brand leadership and product design, development, and management expertise.

Prior to joining Senco Brands, Johansen spent the past four years as President of the Global Do-It-Yourself business of Actuant Corporation, a $1.7 billion diversified industrial company, where he was responsible for North American and European operations. Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years with the Newell Rubbermaid organization where he led two businesses as President, and held Vice President of Marketing roles within both the housewares and hardware segments. He began his career with the Black & Decker Corporation in 1981, and progressed through a series of sales and marketing roles before joining Newell in 1990.

Originally from Northern California, Johansen is a graduate of California State University, East Bay. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration, with emphasis in Marketing and Industrial Relations.
