Smith, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyo., has hired Jerry Klein to fill the role of chief executive officer. He will assume his new duties at Memorial Hospital on January 6, 2011.

After conducting a nationwide executive search led by healthcare leadership solutions firm B. E. Smith, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyo., has hired Jerry Klein to fill the role of chief executive officer. He will assume his new duties at Memorial Hospital on January 6, 2011.

Klein brings a wealth of successful leadership to his new post with Memorial Hospital, including 25 years of healthcare experience as a chief executive officer, with expertise in leading community and county hospitals. Klein completed a master of health services administration degree at University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill., as well as a bachelor's degree in medical technology at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., and a bachelor's degree in pre-med at John. F. Kennedy College in Wahoo, Neb.
