InventHelp®, America's largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Ohio, has designed an enhanced yard hydrant that would feature a protective casing for quick and easy changing. This invention is patented and a virtual prototype is available.

The “Meyers Quick Change Water Hydrant” would help save the time and effort needed to change a broken water hydrant, and could eliminate the need to dig up the water hydrant once it needs replacing. According to the inventor, it's easy to install in about 15 minutes, and would also prevent damage to the water hydrant during changing or maintenance.

The invention would consist of a circular casing made of PVC pipe, that would include a cap secured in place via a hose clamp. The lower portion of the casing would be equipped with a brass nipple held in place by a wooden spacer. The upper end of the nipple would be connected to the lower end of the hydrant and the lower end of the nipple could be attached to a t-shaped brass elbow that is plumbed into the water supply line. The individual would install the hydrant underground in the conventional way, and then install the casing over the piping, and fit the cap over the casing. The user could then paint the exterior of the Meyers Quick Change Water Hydrant to provide the unit with a decorative appearance.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 06-CLC-1632 at (800) 851-6030.
