Bill Hudak Calls on Congressman John Tierney to Fully Disclose Knowledge of His Wife's Filing False Federal Tax Returns
October 06, 2010 1:06 PM
Bill Hudak, www.hudakforcongress.com, candidate for U.S. Congress in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District, today issued the following statement regarding the anticipated guilty plea of Congressman John Tierney's wife, Patrice Tierney, to charges of filing of false federal tax returns on more than $7 million in illegal gambling proceeds to conceal an offshore gaming enterprise.
“I was very disappointed to hear of these charges. Congressman Tierney must disclose to the voters exactly what he knew of this criminal conduct and when,” said Bill Hudak. “This also calls into question the Congressman's multiple votes on Internet gambling bills and whether they were tainted by this scandal. It's time we restore trust in our elected officials. The voters of the 6th District deserve a full accounting of this troubling issue and won't stand for politicians looking the other way.”
