Benzinga’s Top Pre-Market Gainers (NKE, TEVA, SMRT, BRCM)

NIKE, Inc. (NYSE: NKE) gained 4.01% to $73.72 in the pre-market session. NIKE was upgraded today by FBR Capital from Market Perform to Outperform and the price target increased from $67 to $84. NKE made a new 52 week high at $71.33 in the previous trading session. In the last six months, NKE has gained over 22%.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ: TEVA) climbed 4.77% to $62.80 in the pre-market session. Teva Pharmaceutical reported that it is buying Ratiopharm in a deal valued at nearly $5 billion, or 3.625 billion euros. On an adjusted basis, the combined company would have had 2009 revenues of $16.2 billion. In the previous trading session, TEVA closed at $59.94. TEVA has surged over 32% in the last year.

Stein Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMRT) jumped 5.82% to $10 in the pre-market session. Stein Mart reported today a fourth-quarter net income of 2.74 million or $0.06 per share, as compared to a loss of $56.18 million or $1.35 per share for the same quarter last year. The 52-week trading range for SMRT is $1.34 -$13.75. Stein Mart closed at $9.45 in the last trading session.

Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM) moved up 1.73% to $34.19 in the pre-market session. Broadcom Corporation announced today a new series of multi-layer Ethernet devices that enable faster connectivity between servers in the data center. BRCM made a new 52 week high at $33.81 in the last trading session. BRCM closed at $33.61 in the previous trading session.
