Ever wondered who is the Richest Man in your town (RMIT)? No? Here is an answer for that.

According to Businessweek, W. Randall Jones has published a book “The Richest Man in Town (Business Plus, 2009)” listing 100 richest people by town in the largest cities of almost every US state. The list is not gender specific i.e., it also includes the richest woman in that town. The second richest do not find a place in the list.

The average net worth of each RMIT is assessed to be more than $3.5 billion. Together, their total wealth is $355 billion. They provide employment to more than 91% of the Americans. Most of them are self made billionaires. They do not deem it necessary to take their companies public. Around 81% of them are carrying on their businesses in their home town.
