AAPL Credit Spread Into Earnings (Attempted)

A credit spread using AAPL weekly puts was released today but got no executions. We released the put credit spread trade alert right when the stock started ramping higher into the close; 30 minutes earlier and fills would have been plentiful. In the final hour of trading the stock rocketed higher in anticipation of tomorrow's earnings running north from our put strikes and driving down the value of our attempted credit spread. Oh well, we tried. Nothing ventured nothing gained. The credit spread opportunity that existed was beautiful as the stock bounced hard off support yesterday, had elevated premiums due to recent volatility and weakness, has earnings coming out tomorrow that should be good, and a shortened trading week putting theta decay into overdrive. But, we missed it. No worries though, there will always be another trade to be had.....that is a guarantee. Some subscribers lowered their credit spread limit price on their own as the price pump began to get into the trade. Kudos to those that did and confidence is high that your trade will work out well. INTC rocked earnings after the bell and tech is starting to look a little more appetizing.......... Stay tuned and happy trading everyone.
