Enhanced Performance Reporting At BookingAlpha

In pursuit of continuous improvement and full transparency, we have modified our Performance Reporting to incorporate the following enhancements: After commissions component: An "after commission" calculation has been added to reflect the effect of commissions on performance using a $10 transaction rate for our $10k tracking portfolio. Previous years have been updated to reflect the enhancement as well. Monthly ROI calculation: ROI, both before & after commission, has been included on a monthly basis to reflect portfolio ROI performance on total dollars invested that month. View the updated performance records here: BookingAlpha Track Record A few noteworthy items: Performance reporting for each trade is derived from entry/exit execution price. Entry/Exit prices are recorded at our actual execution prices. 99% of our orders are placed as Limit orders but, occasionally Market orders are necessary and their execution prices will vary. As a result, the price at which our execution occurs is what is reflected in the Trading Record. The above mentioned enhancements and noteworthy items are timely in relation to last week's SPY & IWM Iron Condors. We have received many inquiries about varying fill prices due to the Market orders that were necessary to close the condors. This is precisely why we only use Market orders when absolutely necessary; due to their varying execution prices! Many other newsletters use these varying prices to their advantage by reflecting some crazy rock bottom price that none of their subscribers were actually able to achieve, thereby augmenting their performance.
