Aviat Selected for High-speed Mobile Transport Network in East Africa

The high-speed transport network will support well over 1Gbps of capacity enabling services and applications that improve the lives of subscribers in the region. In addition to existing SMS and voice applications, the operator is able to launch or improve new services including streaming video, social media, mobile banking, m-health, enterprise connectivity and VPN services to name a few.

The operator chose Aviat's flagship CTR platform for its microwave networking functionalities and Eclipse hybrid microwave radio for installed base expansion. Aviat's solutions enable seamless migration from TDM to IP/MPLS transport network for delivery of advanced services.
