WATERBURY, Conn., July 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Webster Financial Corporation WBS, the holding company for Webster Bank, N.A., announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $.25 per share on its common stock.

The dividend on the common shares will be payable August 22, 2016 to shareholders of record on August 8, 2016.

On its Series E Preferred Stock, Webster declared a quarterly cash dividend of $400.00 per share ($.40 per each depository share, 1,000 of which represent one share of Series E preferred stock), payable September 15, 2016 to shareholders of record on September 1, 2016.
