CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Ixia XXIA, a leading provider of network testing, visibility, and security solutions, today announced that NoviFlow Inc., a leading developer of high-performance Software Defined Networking (SDN) switching solutions and applications, has deployed IxNetwork® to quickly validate the company's designs and accelerate the delivery of its proven, reliable products.

Based in Montréal, NoviFlow Inc. supports network carriers, hyperscale data center operators, and enterprises seeking greater network control and flexibility, network scalability, and the capacity to handle extremely large numbers of flows, while maintaining maximum network performance. To meet these requirements, NoviFlow introduced the NoviSwitch, an advanced commercial-grade OpenFlow switching solution that offers up to 240 gigabits per second of true wire-speed performance.

NoviFlow's President and CEO Dominique Jodoin, stated, "NoviFlow provides the highest performance OpenFlow networking products in the world. Our customers include tier one network carriers, hyperscale cloud providers, and enterprises data centers, companies that will put our claims to the test. Ixia products are a fundamental part of our testing process, giving NoviFlow both the confidence needed to stake our performance claims, and the evidence needed to back them up."

The Ixia Solution

IxNetwork emulates SDN switches, hosts, and applications to test SDN controllers, and emulates controllers and hosts to test SDN switches. With comprehensive coverage in SDN technology, IxNetwork is designed to test SDN implementations from an OpenFlow underlay to a variety of overlay network virtualizations, including virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN), Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN-VXLAN), and Segment Routing. IxNetwork creates real world conditions replicating hyperscale data centers, and is capable of generating multiple terabytes of data, analyzing up to four million traffic flows simultaneously.

IxNetwork resides on Ixia's XGS12-SD™ 12-slot modular chassis, which powers the industry's highest port density Ethernet test. This flexible platform enables NoviFlow to take advantage of a comprehensive solution for performance, functionality, security, and conformance testing of its data center switches.

"We greatly appreciate the confidence NoviFlow has in our testing platform to help ensure their customers will have a consistently positive experience with their advanced carrier-grade SDN switches," said Sunil Kalidindi, vice president, product management for Ixia. "We look forward to continuing to help NoviFlow accelerate their time to market and enhance the quality of their solutions, while maximizing their R&D resources."
