Russell F. Coleman to Join Dean Foods as EVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

DALLAS, July 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dean Foods Company DF today announced that Russell F. Coleman will join as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Government Affairs. He joins Dean Foods from Meadows Collier law firm where he was a Partner. Previously, Coleman served as General Counsel of national media company Belo Corp.

Coleman will begin on Aug. 1, 2016, and will report to Gregg A. Tanner, Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to Belo's acquisition by Gannett Co., Inc., Coleman was involved in the spinoff of A. H. Belo Corporation and its newspapers, including The Dallas Morning News.

At the Meadows Collier law firm, Coleman provided day-to-day business legal advice for executives, directors and owners of public and private businesses, including governance and SEC reporting and regulations.

Coleman is also very engaged in the community. He served as the Chairman of the Dallas Bar Foundation, was President of the Dallas-Fort Worth Rice University Alumni group and serves on boards of various organizations.
