Sequans Communications S.A. SQNS announced today that Richard N. Nottenburg has been elected to its board of directors. Nottenburg was formerly CEO and member of the board of directors of Sonus Networks.

Nottenburg is today a sought-after business consultant and a tech investor. Prior to his tenure at Sonus Networks, he was chief strategy officer and chief technology officer at Motorola. He has served on the boards of Aeroflex and PMC Sierra and today serves on the boards of Violin Memory, where he is chairman and member of the compensation and corporate governance/nominating committees, and Verint Systems, where he is chairman of the compensation committee.
