Since January, more than 2,100 Southern California Edison customers have received utility phone scam calls. During that period, 139 customers were scammed out of nearly $109,000. SCE's customer service manager and local law enforcement will meet customers with faith-based groups and nonprofit business leaders to educate them about the utility phone scam, how it works, how to recognize it and what to do to avoid becoming a victim. | ||
