Aviat Chosen for Hybrid Radio, NTIA Frequency Band Support and Federal Certifications

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviat Networks, Inc. AVNW, the leading expert in microwave networking solutions, today announced it has closed a $2.4 million turnkey project for the Department of Interior - National Park Service (NPS) agency for products and services. Aviat will provide Eclipse IRU 600 radios, ProVision management system and services such as network and transmission engineering, factory integration and testing and civil construction.

Aviat's radios are approved for all licensed NTIA fixed frequency bands with key certifications such as DOD J/F-12, DISA UC-APL and NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 2. Hybrid capability of IRU 600 radios lets the agency seamlessly migrate from TDM to IP while maintaining existing services throughout the transition. In addition to these capabilities, other factors contributing to this win include: NTIA approved all-indoor products, high product reliability, turnkey capabilities, US corporate identity and history of providing service and support to this market.

Aviat Networks expects revenue from this project in the fiscal 2016 fourth quarter and fiscal 2017 first quarter.
