SEATTLE, May 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading jeweler Blue Nile NILE announced today its search for a Chief Digital Merchandising Officer to lead digital merchandising strategy across the company's website, mobile applications, and Webrooms, as it continues its concept of retail reimagined.

"Blue Nile disrupted the diamond and jewelry industry upon its founding in 1999 and is doing so again by reimagining the retail experience and adapting to the way today's consumer wants to shop – not the other way around – including on their phone, tablet, PC, and in-person," said Blue Nile President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer Harvey Kanter. "There are few jobs in all of retail that touch so many disciplines and channels as the Chief Digital Merchandising Officer. It's an incredible opportunity."

The Chief Digital Merchant will report to Kanter, and in addition to merchandising, will be responsible for trend identification, product design, sourcing, brand, creative, and communications.
