PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The PGA TOUR and Ellie Mae, Inc. today announced an agreement making the mortgage-based software company the title sponsor of the Web.com Tour's tournament at TPC Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward, Calif, with the (Golden State) Warriors Community Foundation serving as the event's main charitable beneficiary.

The newly named Ellie Mae Classic at TPC Stonebrae is scheduled for the week of July 25-31 at TPC Stonebrae, which has hosted the event since 2009. The four-year sponsorship agreement runs through 2019.

"We are ecstatic to welcome Ellie Mae to the Web.com Tour with today's exciting announcement," said Web.com Tour President Bill Calfee. "Their commitment to this event ensures our continued presence in one of the country's great golf markets, and allows this tournament to leave a lasting impact in the community through the charitable efforts geared towards the Warriors Community Foundation."

Ellie Mae ELLI is a leading provider of innovative on-demand software solutions and services for the residential mortgage industry. Mortgage lenders of all sizes use Ellie Mae's Encompass® all-in-one mortgage management solution, Mavent Compliance Service, and AllRegs research, reference and education resources to improve compliance, loan quality and efficiency across the entire mortgage lifecycle. Ellie Mae has more than 900 employees across the United States and is headquartered in Pleasanton, California. The company contributes to a number of charitable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Alameda County Community Food Bank and others through its Ellie Cares community outreach program.

"As a company headquartered in the East Bay, it makes perfect sense for Ellie Mae to be the title sponsor of the Web.com Tour event at TPC Stonebrae," said Jonathan Corr, Ellie Mae President and CEO. "In addition to the visibility that becoming the title sponsor gives our growing company, we are thrilled to support the tournament's tradition of philanthropy, which is closely aligned with Ellie Mae's core value of giving back. We're also very proud to have the Warriors Community Foundation as the main charitable beneficiary for the tournament, and look forward to raising money and building support and awareness for their organization."

The Warriors Community Foundation will serve as the event's main charitable beneficiary, as charity continues to play a key role in every PGA TOUR-sanctioned event, with other Ellie Mae charities also benefiting. The TOUR and its tournaments generated a record $160 million for charity in 2015, in turn elevating the all-time total donated to charity to $2.3 billion.

Since purchasing the Golden State Warriors in 2010, Joe Lacob and Peter Guber have continued the club's longstanding tradition of community involvement. The Warriors Community Foundation, established in 2012 under the new ownership group, serves to expand the team's impact locally.

"We are honored to be invited to partner with Ellie Mae and the PGA TOUR," said Warriors Community Foundation Executive Director Jose Gordon. "Our support for education and youth development is possible thanks to partners who share our vision of improving outcomes for local underserved students."

The TPC Stonebrae course, designed by David McLay Kidd, is located at the crest of the East Bay Hills. At an elevation of 1,500 feet, the course features views spanning 75 miles of San Francisco Bay to the west, Mt. Tam to the north and east to Mt. Diablo.

"The owners of TPC Stonebrae are proud to have been partners in the TPC Network and sponsors of PGA TOUR events for more than 15 years," said Michael Letchinger, Managing Director of TPC Stonebrae. "We welcome Ellie Mae to TPC Stonebrae and are confident that with their commitment the Ellie Mae Classic will be recognized immediately as a premier event on the Web.com Tour and will enhance all the charitable activities of the Warriors Community Foundation here in our East Bay home."

The Web.com Tour has conducted six tournaments at TPC Stonebrae since 2009, with the tournament annually producing some of the most exciting finishes of the year. The event's 2015 edition featured a playoff between Si Woo Kim, Jamie Lovemark and Wes Roach, with Kim securing his first Web.com Tour title on the first extra hole. The South Korea native became the second-youngest winner in the Web.com Tour's 26-year history at age 20 years, 20 days, eventually securing his 2015-16 PGA TOUR card at the end of the Tour's Regular Season in August.
