Manassas, Virginia, Selects Suite of Financial and Community Development Solutions from Tyler Technologies

Tyler Technologies, Inc. TYL has signed an agreement with the city of Manassas, Virginia, for Tyler's Munis^® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and EnerGov^™ planning, regulatory and maintenance platform. The agreement includes software licensing, implementation, project maintenance and support.

The city wanted to replace its legacy financial and billing systems with an ERP solution that would integrate multiple departments while scaling to support the city's future growth. Manassas leaders also wanted to reduce reliance on manual and paper-based processes with a system that would enhance integration among several existing standalone enterprise applications.

After a competitive review, the city chose Tyler's Munis applications, including financial and human resources management, utility billing, and business licensing. Munis will also automate tax billing and collection for the city treasurer's office.

To replace the city's previous community development processes, which included disparate programs and paper-based data storage, the EnerGov solution will provide the city with automated planning, permitting, and inspections functionalities, including an online portal for citizen and business access.

Located in northern Virginia, the city of Manassas has approximately 41,000 residents. The city is an independent city surrounded by Prince William County and is about 25 miles southwest of the nation's capital.
