Georgia's Marietta City Schools Signs SaaS Agreement for Tyler Technologies' ERP Solution

Tyler Technologies, Inc. TYL has signed a seven-year software-as-a-service (SaaS) contract with Marietta City Schools in Georgia for Tyler's Munis^® enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The agreement includes hosting services, related professional services, maintenance and support.

The school system sought to replace its legacy system with a contemporary ERP solution to improve the speed, accuracy and flexibility of business operations and to maximize access to timely information critical to the management of the district's goals for great student achievement. After a competitive review, Marietta City Schools chose to partner with Tyler, which has decades of ERP experience with Georgia school districts. Tyler also has several successful SaaS-based ERP installations in Georgia school districts and throughout the country.

In addition to helping Marietta City Schools improve services to constituents, Munis will help the school system enhance its reporting and information distribution capabilities to employees, parents, school board members and regulatory agencies.

As one of Georgia's first charter school systems, Marietta City Schools is the public K-12 school system serving the city of Marietta, located about 20 miles northwest of Atlanta. The school system has approximately 9,000 students and 1,350 employees across 11 schools and a total of 14 sites.
