Scholastic Corporation SCHL, the global children's publishing, education and media company, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to celebrate a new book release of the popular and worldwide bestselling children's book series, "Captain Underpants."  The new title, "Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-a-lot," goes on sale August 25^th. 

In honor of the occasion, Dick Robinson, Chairman, President and CEO of Scholastic, and Dav Pilkey, Author of "Captain Underpants," will ring the Opening Bell.

Scholastic, the worldwide publisher of Captain Underpants, will launch a new "Reading Gives You Superpowers" campaign to help transform reluctant readers into lifelong readers, which includes a five-week tour which kicks-off today.  Captain Underpants is a worldwide bestselling children's book series published by Scholastic.  To date, there are more than 70 million books in print worldwide, which are available in 22 languages.  DreamWorks Animation has acquired the movie rights to the Captain Underpants series and is in production on a feature film adaptation scheduled for release in 2017.
