Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) Buys Alpha Hospitals Holdings Limited

Universal Health Services, Inc. UHS announced today that it has purchased the stock of Alpha Hospitals Holdings Limited. The acquisition of Alpha adds four hospitals and 305 beds to the Cygnet family. These facilities provide significant child and adolescent services, low and medium secure services as well as various specialist mental healthcare services. With the addition of the Alpha hospitals and previously announced acquisitions and bed additions, the company now has a total of 21 hospitals and approximately 1,100 beds in the UK. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
