San Ysidro Health Center Kicks-off National Health Center Week with Donation of Reading Stations and Children's Books by UnitedHealthcare to Encourage Early Reading and Healthy Living among Children

UnitedHealthcare is donating 40 UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation (UHCCF) reading stations, nearly 1,000 Oliver & Hope children's books and 2,000 activity worksheets to encourage early reading and healthy living among children throughout San Diego County.

Today, the San Ysidro Health Center received eight reading stations and 100 children's books during an event to help kick-off National Health Center Week.

As the new reading stations and books were installed, San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox and Council Member David Alvarez joined UnitedHealthcare executives, San Ysidro Health Center staff and UnitedHealthcare mascot Dr. Health E. Hound for a reading circle and healthy activities with kids from Sunset State Preschool.
