Toyota Revs Up Sponsorship At National Urban League Annual Conference

The world's largest automaker is ready to educate and empower more than 9,000 attendees with an array of activations

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cue the lights, line up the cars and activate the booth, Toyota will reclaim its role as title sponsor of the National Urban League (NUL) 105th Annual Conference, the nation's largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization. The conference takes place from July 29August 1, 2015 at the Broward Convention Center.

Toyota's long-standing relationship with National Urban League began more than 20 years ago and 2015 marks the company's 21st anniversary as a conference sponsor. Toyota currently serves on the organization's national and local boards, and works with its affiliates nationwide to launch significant education, job training and scholarship programs for young people.

During four power-packed days, Toyota's presence will be known as NUL attendees will be educated about: driver safety precautions using cutting-edge technology and proper child passenger safety practices seat belt restraints; how to adopt greener habits through vehicle, beauty and household decisions; and how to brand yourself to secure a job. The company will share its commitment of education, the environment and safety in support of NUL's conference theme, "Save our Cities: Education, Jobs & Justice."

Toyota's interactive booth at the Expo Hall will host a series of activations for conference attendees and the South Florida community.  From showcasing safety with the Toyota TeenDrive365 Distracted Driving simulator aimed at assisting teens and parents to become safer, less-distracted drivers; to car seat installation demos and car seat raffles based on a child passenger safety quiz participation from Buckle Up for Life (a national child passenger safety program with Cincinnati Children's and Toyota), to green-living, sustainability demonstrations on how to make environmentally-friendly household cleaning products and make-up, Toyota's interactive booth and vehicle displays are sure to be a focal point of the conference experience.  It will open on Thursday, July 30.
