The Vitamin Shoppe® Appoints New General Counsel

SECAUCUS, N.J., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Vitamin Shoppe, Inc. VSI a multi-channel specialty retailer and contract manufacturer of nutritional products, today announced that it has hired David M. Kastin, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary effective August 17, 2015.  Mr. Kastin will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external legal matters of the company and will serve as Corporate Secretary to Vitamin Shoppe's Board of Directors.

Mr. Kastin has more than 20 years' experience representing companies in all facets of their business.  Mr. Kastin joins Vitamin Shoppe from Town Sports International Holdings, Inc., a leading owner and operator of health and fitness clubs in the Northeast, United States., where he served as Senior Vice President - General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.  Prior that, Mr. Kastin served as Deputy General Counsel at Toys "R" Us, Inc. and worked at several prominent New York law firms, including Bryan Cave LLP.  Mr. Kastin began his career a Staff Attorney in the Northeast Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
