McClatchy Names Terry Geiger As Vice President, Technology

SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --The McClatchy Company MNI today named Terrance "Terry" Geiger as vice president, technology. In this newly created role, Geiger becomes the company's top technology executive and a member of McClatchy's senior management team.

"Terry has been a key leader in advancing our technology platform strategies and initiatives for quite some time," said McClatchy President and CEO Pat Talamantes. "His appointment to this new role speaks directly to the successes he's led throughout the years. Geiger is a seasoned veteran of McClatchy and held technology leadership positions at McClatchy corporate, McClatchy's California IT operations and The Fresno Bee prior to his latest appointment. Most recently he served as McClatchy's corporate director for IT.
