CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Pritzker Group Venture Capital today announced the addition of ContextMedia CEO and founder Rishi Shah to its team of senior advisors. Pritzker Group's senior advisors offer industry expertise to its investment teams as well as strategic counsel to its companies.

Shah is a successful media and technology entrepreneur. He founded ContextMedia in 2006 to improve health outcomes by serving health information to chronic-disease patients. The company's digital place-based media networks and mobile media offerings impact hundreds of millions of patient visits across more than 10,000 hospital and health systems. The firm's clients include 33 of the 35 largest life science manufacturers.

In 2012, Shah co-founded a personal venture investment firm, Jumpstart Ventures, through which he has made more than 40 investments in fast-growing, early- to late-stage startups.

Before founding ContextMedia, Shah founded the Northwestern Business Review, a Northwestern University-based collaborative publication distributed to more than 60 college campuses worldwide. While still in high school, he founded a home computer consulting firm, and his clients were acquired by a national electronics retailer. Shah has also founded and led several nonprofit initiatives, including the Urban-Suburban Domestic Exchange Initiative, a program sponsored by the Gates Foundation to facilitate cross-school interaction.

He serves on the boards of many civic organizations including Young Presidents Organization (YPO), 1871, the Institute for Student Business Education at Northwestern University and the Academy for Global Citizenship, an internationally renowned charter school. He also serves as a mentor for several technology startup accelerator/incubator programs including TechStars Chicago, 1871, HealthBox and Blueprint Health.

"As an exceptionally successful serial entrepreneur, Rishi brings tremendously valuable strategic and operational expertise to our team and our companies," said Chris Girgenti, Pritzker Group Venture Capital managing partner. "We've worked together with Rishi helping to build the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and now we're very pleased to have him on the Pritzker team."
