Former Managing Director Pat Soldano Returns as Consultant

JUPITER, Fla., June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- GenSpring Family Offices, a leading wealth management firm for ultra-high net worth families, has expanded its leadership team, naming Jim Brennan managing director for the Florida-west region and David Herritt managing director for the Northeast region. The firm has also retained the services of former GenSpring managing director Pat Soldano to support business growth and teammate development.

In naming the new managing directors, GenSpring is also dividing its coverage model for Florida into two regions – east and west. The decision reflects the depth of opportunities in the state and a commitment to bringing in the right level of talent to lead these strategic markets.

"Jim and David represent the best of GenSpring, they are experts in the family wealth industry who will build on the legacy we've created in these regions," said Willem Hattink, CEO of GenSpring. "Pat has been an influential leader in the family office community for years, she knows the intricacies of working with ultra-high net worth families and will be instrumental in helping us better serve our clients and grow our business."

As managing director for the Florida-west region, Brennan will oversee activities in the Orlando, Tampa Bay and Sarasota family offices. A 10-year veteran of GenSpring, previously Brennan served as a senior family wealth advisor to clients in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota family offices. Prior to GenSpring, he served as director of financial planning with KPMG, working with many of Florida and Georgia's most prestigious families. Brennan holds a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in Accounting from St. John's University, New York. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a member of its AICPA's Personal Financial Planning division. He holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation given by the AICPA, is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a member of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.

In his new role, Herritt will assume responsibility within GenSpring's New York City and Greenwich family offices. Since 2006, Herritt has served as a senior family wealth advisor, responsible for introducing and implementing GenSpring's wealth management process with clients. Further, he holds a firm-wide leadership role as family governance director, assisting clients in the development of their family policies and governance structures. Prior to joining GenSpring, Herritt worked for a number of trust companies including Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank Trust and U. S. Trust. Herritt holds a juris doctor from the Cumberland School of Law, a bachelor's degree from Brockport State University and is a graduate of the National Graduate Trust School program at Northwestern University.

Soldano has entered into a consulting agreement with GenSpring to support the firm's business and teammate development efforts. She retired from GenSpring at the end of 2014, having spent the previous five years as the head of GenSpring's western region and a member of the GenSpring leadership team. Throughout her career, Soldano has spent more than 25 years managing family offices and providing integrated advice to many client families. She also helped develop Cymric Family Office Services into a multi-family office in 1996 which became part of GenSpring in 2009.
