WABCO Showcases Industry-Leading Technologies at Auto Shanghai 2015; Highlights Latest Innovations for Commercial Vehicle Safety and Efficiency

WABCO will feature numerous leading safety and efficiency technologies from its portfolio of "industry firsts" and major innovations at Auto Shanghai 2015, China's largest automotive trade show, held from April 20-29, 2015, in Shanghai, China. Differentiating WABCO products and systems on display will include:

--  Industry-leading OnGuardACTIVE(TM) - advanced emergency braking system
    (AEBS) for trucks and buses that detects moving, stopping and stationary
    vehicles ahead. It utilizes a powerful 77GHz radar sensor that maintains
    the system's high performance in all weather conditions. OnGuardACTIVE
    is capable of analyzing traffic up to 200 meters ahead, thus recognizing
    impending critical driving situations early. The system autonomously
    applies the brakes and can bring the vehicle to a complete stop, helping
    to prevent or mitigate rear-end collisions. OnGuardACTIVE is the
    industry's first AEBS that complies with stringent European regulations
    now in effect. Three major commercial vehicle manufacturers in China -
    Foton, Yutong Bus, and BYD - signed agreements to equip their next-
    generation trucks and buses for export to Europe with WABCO
    OnGuardACTIVE and OnLane(TM) lane departure warning systems. 
--  Advanced OnLane - camera-based lane departure warning continuously
    monitors the vehicle's position within lane markings. WABCO's OnLane is
    an advanced driver assistance system that alerts the driver of
    unintentional lane changes via acoustic and visual warnings. Thereby,
    the system improves driver attentiveness, as well as overall vehicle and
    road safety. WABCO's OnLane is fully compliant with European Union
    regulation. 
--  Breakthrough mBSP(TM) - modular braking system platform (mBSP) enables
    commercial vehicle manufacturers worldwide to interchangeably equip
    their diverse global truck and bus platforms with anti-lock braking
    (ABS) or electronic braking (EBS) systems based on regional market or
    regulatory requirements. WABCO's mBSP, another industry first, features
    the industry's highest degree of standardization across both components
    and software of its ABS and EBS systems. 
--  Market-leading OptiRide(TM) - electronically controlled air suspension
    (ECAS) technology provides automatic load transfer to mitigate axle
    overload, which helps to reduce vehicle wear-and-tear and other
    operational costs. WABCO's OptiRide delivers fuel savings of up to 3
    percent under certain conditions, while providing optimal ride
    performance. WABCO is the first supplier of electronically controlled
    air suspension technology for truck and bus manufacturers in China, the
    world's largest commercial vehicle market. 
--  Industry award-winning OptiDrive(TM) - modular automated manual
    transmission (AMT) technology increases fuel economy up to 5 percent
    through optimized gear shifting. OptiDrive, a breakthrough in AMT

    manufacturers of transmissions, trucks and buses, particularly in China
    and other emerging markets.
