Lincoln Financial Network's Women's Initiative, WISE, Aims to Support the Unique Needs of Female Advisors and Clients

Elizabeth A. Liechty, capital partner of Charter Financial Group and registered representative of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp. (LFA) was recently appointed as board member of The WISE Group (Women Inspiring, Supporting, and Educating). WISE is Lincoln Financial Network's (LFN) new initiative designed to better support the unique needs of female financial advisors and clients. Appointments to The WISE Group's 2015 Board were announced during the group's inaugural annual meeting in late January.

Liechty will work to deliver on The WISE Group's core objectives, which center on inspiring women to pursue opportunities in financial services in order to increase the overall number of female advisors within the industry; supporting LFN female advisors in the growth and development of their practice through strategic partnerships and mentoring; and educating female clients on the importance of comprehensive financial planning so they are better prepared to take charge of their financial lives.

With more than 15 years in the financial services industry, Liechty joined LFA in 1999. She is currently a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Lincoln Financial, chair of the Foundation Board for Hospice of the Chesapeake, and chair of the audit committee for the Middle East Investment Committee. In 2014, Liechty was named one of Maryland's Top 100 Women by The Daily Record and was the recipient of the 2014 National Underwriters Life & Health (NUL) Industry Elite Award for Community Outreach.

Liechty earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. She holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Certified Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor (ADPA®) designations, as well as FINRA series 7, 63 and 65 registrations.
