NEW YORK, March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PaymentsSource named Citi Retail Services' Leslie McNamara, managing director and executive vice president of Partner Management, one of the 2015 Most Influential Women in Payments. PaymentsSource, a U.S. payments industry news resource, published its 3rd annual ranking this month at PaymentsSource.com/women-in-payments, and its affiliate American Banker will feature the list as a special report in its April issue.

"The exceptional leaders we are recognizing this year are advancing the pace of innovation in the industry, challenging their rivals, and fueling the creativity of those around them," said Daniel Wolfe, editor-in-chief of PaymentsSource. "Leslie McNamara plays a high-profile role managing client relationships for a unit that's a substantial component of Citi's overall business, engaging these retail partners and providing counsel during a time of significant transition in the retail industry."

One of 20 executives honored this year, McNamara joined Citi in 2002. She held a number of portfolio management, marketing and customer engagement positions, helping guide the company and clients through the economic downturn and a period of sweeping regulatory change before accepting her current role in 2011. As head of partner management she provides strategic direction and oversight for Citi's retail and oil-partner private label and co-brand credit card programs for portfolios consisting of approximately $40 billion in managed assets.

"This recognition acknowledges Leslie's discipline, commitment and vision, and the strong relationship model she has emphasized in our business," said Bill Johnson, Citi Retail Services' CEO. "Her work to focus Retail Services as a solutions-oriented business that leverages Citi expertise to maximize the shopping experience resonates with our retail partners, to whom she has become a key advisor."

Citi Retail Services provides consumer and commercial credit card products to national and regional retailers and their customers across the U.S. It provides its partners fully integrated marketing and loyalty programs, unparalleled data analytics and retail industry expertise. Since January 2013, it has renewed eight contracts with existing partners and added six new relationships. The business services nearly 90 million accounts for a number of iconic brands, including The Home Depot, Best Buy, ExxonMobil, Macy's, Sears and Shell.
