Largest Valspar Chameleon on Course (literally) to Serve Community

MINNEAPOLIS, March 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It was a life well-served and now Valspar's chameleon mascot is about to be served to those in need in the Tampa Bay community.

Onsite at the Valspar Championship, 6,600 cans of tuna became the building blocks for a mammoth sculpture depicting Valspar's chameleon mascot. Four members of Canstruction®, a unique global charity whose mission is to feed and inspire the world one can at a time as it mounts some extremely novel artworks, undertook this construction building the chameleon on course for golf fans to enjoy. With the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday, Valspar will donate the cans of tuna to Feeding America Tampa Bay on Monday, March 16.

The chameleon structure said in a canned speech, "I've enjoyed my limited time at the Valspar Championship. I appreciate the many fans who stopped by and included my brilliant colors in their photo snapshots. It's now time for me to be of utmost service and help feed thousands here in the Tampa Bay area."
