AFS, in partnership with the Greater Dallas Military Foundation, will hold its Five Star Awards Ceremony and Military Symposium on Saturday, March 28 (8:30-11:30 am) at the Hotel Intercontinental in Dallas, Texas. AFS strives to promote positive, constructive dialogue regarding the most important issues facing the U.S. The awards ceremony and symposium bring together well known industry experts and leaders to candidly discuss national security issues and the critical challenge of Veteran redeployment to civilian employment.

Syndicated television and radio personality Glenn Beck, the event's keynote speaker, will provide a historical perspective of American National Security and the U.S. Military. Honored military guests include Gen. Nordy Schwartz, USAF (Ret.), former Chief of Staff of the Air Force; and Secretary Gordon England, former Secretary of the Navy, and former Deputy Secretary of Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available by visiting http://www.americas-fs.org/.

Bardis started Hire Heroes USA in 2005 to address the issue of veteran unemployment, and serves as Chairman of the Hire Heroes USA Board of Directors. He challenges corporate America to do more. "Hiring veterans is an incredible investment for any company. Veterans are an exceptionally talented demographic in the work force, and should be afforded the first opportunity for jobs upon completion of their service," said Bardis.

Under the leadership of Brian Stann, CEO and Marine Corps veteran, Hire Heroes USA has built a national reputation of excellence for helping veterans find jobs at the current rate of more than 40 veterans hired every week. Hire Heroes USA empowers transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses by building the confidence and skills necessary to secure civilian employment through free, individualized career coaching and workshops. With an uncompromising focus on results, exceptional service delivery, and collaboration with military and corporate leaders, Hire Heroes USA confirmed 1,883 veteran hires in 2014.

"We are grateful to the America's Future Series for recognizing our founder, John Bardis, and including Hire Heroes USA in this event to honor corporate leaders who take the issue of veteran employment seriously," said Stann. "Our hope is that this event will highlight the tremendous value veterans bring to the civilian workforce. We commend the five organizations being honored for their support of our veterans, and encourage corporate America to make veteran hiring a priority."
