RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Regency Centers, REG, a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers, and its co-investment partner, Global Retail Investors, LLC – a partnership between CalPERS and First Washington Realty – has announced the additions of two of the top-performing local operators in the Richmond market to their center at Gayton Crossing. They will be joining a site that occupies nearly 160,000 square feet and pulls from all the major trading areas in the Richmond area.

For those familiar with the Richmond food scene, Hutch Eatery & Bar is owned and operated by the owners of Toast and Estilo, Josh and Jessica Buffod. The food will be similar in affordability and upscale American style, but with a bit of southern flavoring and inspiration added to it. The 2,440 square foot space will be the first and flagship location for the concept, and is scheduled the week of March 9th.

Mango Salon has been serving the Richmond area for over 11 years, and employs some of the top talent in the regional industry. Mango focuses on providing an amazing salon experience while maintaining a positive, forward focus culture. Also known for their Academy, Mango not only cultivates Fresh Talent entering the field, but also expands on existing expertise and continuing education. The 2,880 square foot location in Gayton Crossing will be their third location in the Richmond market. They are currently scheduled to open in the late summer of 2015.

"It's important that you create a unique merchandising mix for every center," began Rich Sutphin, Vice President and Regional Officer for Regency Centers. "This location serves a giant community base, and we want to make sure that their lifestyle and dining options are reflective of the wants and needs of the area. We currently have a great tenant mix at the center including: The Melting Pot, Good Foods Grocery, Chianti Italian Restaurant, Baggio, Revival Home Furnishings and many more. These two additions are great examples of finding the best in a market and helping them grow as well as continuing to add to the already established merchants at the center."
