CIAA and PCS Collaborate for Catastrophe Services

JERSEY CITY, N.J., January 7, 2015 - Property Claim Services (PCS), a division of Verisk Analytics VRSK, and the Canadian Independent Adjusters' Association (CIAA) are excited to announce a new strategic alliance. Through this relationship, PCS and the CIAA will provide comprehensive resources and services to independent adjusters across Canada.

All members of the CIAA will receive access to PCS Canada^® catastrophe loss information as a result of the strategic alliance. Access to this crucial resource will help independent adjusting firms plan for catastrophe events, allocate resources more effectively, and reduce cycle time, ultimately contributing to lower loss adjustment expense. Both organizations will further support the independent adjuster community through joint thought leadership programs and conference participation.

Through its significant link to the Canadian independent adjuster community, the CIAA will use its relationships to provide post-event insights to PCS for use in Canadian catastrophe bulletins, as well as photos, videos, and commentary from adjusters at the event site. PCS team members will also participate in "ride-alongs" to help enhance on-the-ground damage assessments and other important business insights for the Canadian insurance industry.

"The information and tools our members will receive through this relationship will support their efforts to quickly assess the impact and opportunities to their firms after catastrophes as well as improve the service they're able to deliver to their clients. Using its understanding of the independent adjuster community's needs, CIAA has agreed to collaborate with PCS on functionality for new solutions, among them an enhanced PCS Canada mobile application that will allow adjusters to upload, share, and view their photos, videos, and commentary from catastrophe sites. The peer-to-peer capabilities will enable adjusters to improve catastrophe response, plan for specific conditions on the ground, and deliver exceptional service to claimants. "This is an exciting initiative that is poised to improve catastrophe response standards industrywide," added Battle.
