LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

SGN (www.sgn.com), the premier mobile games developer, and NetEase today announced an exclusive agreement to license the popular match-3 mobile puzzle game, Cookie Jam, across all major app stores in China. Leveraging localized knowledge and expertise of Chinese mobile markets, NetEase will tailor and optimize the title to ensure maximum appeal and relevance to this new international market. Cookie Jam was recently named Facebook's Game of the Year for 2014.

SGN has grown to become the second-leading mobile puzzle game developer in the world second only to King Digital, with over 500 million downloads across its catalogue of titles. This key agreement with NetEase marks SGN's first foray into the Chinese market, opening up a massive new market for player acquisition and engagement.

NetEase provides SGN with the best local market knowledge and integration with all leading Chinese app stores, making it the perfect ally for releasing and evangelizing SGN's leading mobile puzzle game to a vast new market of players.

“There is no better way to enter China than with a strategic, local partner like NetEase,” said Chris DeWolfe, CEO of SGN. “Leveraging their successful track record in the market, Cookie Jam in China will rival our already fast-paced growth in other markets like the US and Japan.”

NetEase will receive frequent new content releases and updates from SGN to publish to its Chinese version of Cookie Jam. Operating in international markets since its establishment in 2010, SGN's move into China marks the next major global expansion for the developer.

“We are thrilled to bring SGN's most popular mobile game to China, and we are confident it will resonate strongly with players in the region,” said William Ding, CEO of NetEase. “With fast-paced, fun gameplay and compelling characters, Cookie Jam has tremendous potential in China.”

Cookie Jam will launch in China in early 2015 and is currently available on iOS, Google Play, Amazon, and Facebook.
