Company Exceeds $22 Million In Nine Years Of Giving

Plymouth, MA (PRWEB) December 03, 2014

PartyLite, the world's number one candle party company, has donated candles, candle accessories, as well as home fragrance and home décor products, with a retail value of $2,082,682 to NBC's Today Show 2014 Holiday Gift Drive.

According to Joan Connor, President of PartyLite North America, this is the company's ninth year donating products to this famous charity. “We're very proud to continue our support for the Today Show Holiday Gift Drive. Our total contributions to date are now just over $22 million,” she said.

The Today Show Holiday Gift Drive, originally known as its “Toy Drive,” provides holiday presents for children in need and their parents.

“We actually came up with the idea of donating gifts that children can give to significant adults in their lives – like their moms, grandmothers and teachers,” said Connor. “The local organizations distributing our products tell us they especially love the concept of teaching children to give as well as to receive. Some organizations have even set up special holiday programs for kids to wrap up presents for their moms and make holiday cards, too. It makes the kids feel very proud!”

Joan Connor, appearing on the Today Show on Dec. 2 to present the 2014 PartyLite gifts, pointed out that while PartyLite is a key individual donor to the gift drive, its donation is also included in the $10 million total given by participating Direct Selling Association member companies. “We're a longstanding DSA member, and we're proud to join with others in our industry to support this excellent outreach,” she said.

PartyLite is known worldwide for its premium fragrances and highest-quality candles, which are available in 23 countries around the globe. Among PartyLite products donated this year were fragranced candles, votive holders, ScentGlow Warmers, fragranced oils, aromas melts and even a charming stuffed teddy bear with its own lavender fragrance pouch.

Why is participating in the Today Show Holiday Gift Drive important to PartyLite? “PartyLite is made up of independent entrepreneurs who tend to be very involved with their own families and their communities,” said Connor. “They respond strongly to this cause, as they do to our support in the United States for the American Cancer Society and in Canada for Children's Miracle Network. We work to support those causes all year long. Especially during the holiday season, when we all realize how much we have to be thankful for, contributing to all these important causes adds a special dimension to our work lives.”
