Since going public on May 18, 2012, Facebook Inc FB has nearly doubled its daily active users (DAU), bringing the statistic from 526 million in Q1 2012 to 1.18 billion in its most recent report.

The third quarter of 2015 marked a milestone for Facebook, with the company surpassing 1 billion DAU. However, as can be seen in the data presented below, Facebook’s DAU growth experienced more than a 10 percent decrease between the company’s IPO and Q1 2015:
