• Wall Street expects CIGNA Corporation CI to report quarterly earnings at $1.91 per share on revenue of $9.84 billion before the opening bell. CIGNA shares gained 2.59 percent to $120.90 in after-hours trading.
• Analysts expect Starbucks Corporation SBUX to post quarterly earnings at $0.55 per share on revenue of $5.68 billion after the closing bell. Starbucks shares fell 0.23 percent to $52.86 in after-hours trading.
• Facebook Inc FB posted better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter on Wednesday. However, the company’s CFO warned that revenue growth rates would decline in the fourth quarter. Facebook shares dropped 7.05 percent to $118.21 in the after-hours trading session.
• Analysts are expecting Motorola Solutions Inc MSI to have earned $1.21 per share on revenue of $1.52 billion in the latest quarter. Motorola will release earnings after the markets close. Motorola shares rose 2.81 percent to $73.58 in after-hours trading.
• QUALCOMM, Inc. QCOM reported stronger-than-expected results for its fourth quarter on Wednesday. QUALCOMM shares slipped 0.28 percent to $66.90 in the after-hours trading session.

• Whole Foods Market, Inc. WFM reported upbeat earnings for its fourth quarter. The company eliminated its co-CEO structure, and appointed John Mackey as sole CEO. Whole Foods shares gained 3.54 percent to $29.52 in the after-hours trading session.
• Before the markets open, Chesapeake Energy Corporation CHK is projected to report a quarterly loss at $0.03 per share on revenue of $2.18 billion. Chesapeake Energy shares declined 0.93 percent to close at $5.31 on Wednesday.
• Metlife Inc MET posted better-than-expected results for its third quarter on Wednesday. Metlife shares fell 0.96 percent to close at $46.34 on Wednesday.
• Analysts expect Apache Corporation APA to report a quarterly loss at $0.16 per share on revenue of $1.38 billion before the opening bell. Apache shares declined 0.15 percent to close at $59.46 on Wednesday.
• After the closing bell, Activision Blizzard, Inc. ATVI is estimated to post its quarterly earnings at $0.42 per share on revenue of $1.57 billion. Activision Blizzard shares slipped 0.21 percent to $42.51 in after-hours trading.
