After-Hours Movers: Three Stocks To Watch

Shares of Intel Corporation INTC, which were up 2.62 percent over Thursday trading, were trading down almost 3 percent in the after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s fourth quarter fiscal 2015 financial results. The tech behemoth reported earnings of $0.74 per share on revenue of $14.914 billion, versus the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.63 per share and $14.804 billion. Management had guided for sales in the $14.3 billion to $15.3 billion range. In addition, the company said its gross margin fell to 64.3 percent, from 65.4 percent registered a year ago.

For the firth quarter of fiscal 2016, Intel guided for revenue between $13.5 billion and $14.5 billion, which, at the midpoint, stands substantially above consensus of $13.734 billion.

On the other hand, Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc - Ordinary Shares JAZZ were up more than 3.2 percent since the bell rang, continuing the 2.9 percent surge seen during the day, which was probably driven by reports about Capital Impact Advisors having started a new stake in the company, comprising 12,800 shares, over the fourth quarter of 2015.

Back to decliners, there’s Analog Devices, Inc. ADI, down almost 4 percent as of 4:40PM EST. The decline was triggered by a revision the company made to its first quarter revenue guidance. Management now expects sales in the $745 million to $765 million range, versus the previous forecast of $805 million to $855 million. “The lowered revenue outlook is the result of weaker than forecasted customer demand in the company’s portable consumer business unit, which began in December, and is expected to continue into the second fiscal quarter. Demand trends across ADI’s core markets of industrial, automotive, and communication infrastructure are tracking within the range of prior expectations,” a press release explained.
