Shares of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. BBBY were trading down about 1.5 percent in Thursday’s after-hours session, following the announcement of the company's third quarter fiscal 2015 financial results. The mid-cap home furnishings retailer delivered earnings of $1.09 per share, in line with the Street's consensus and management's guidance, on sales of $2.95 billion, which fell slightly short of estimates.
Also moving on its earnings report was Container Store Group Inc TCS, which was down more than 15.6 percent after the bell rang. The small-cap specialty retailer reported a third quarter fiscal 2015 net loss of $(0.04) per share on revenue of $197.24 million, missing the Street's consensus estimate, which called for earnings of $0.11 per share on sales of $221.25 million.
PriceSmart, Inc. PSMT lost almost 1.3 percent after the bell rang. The smid cap company reported first quarter earnings of $0.78 per share on sales of $711.93 million. While the figures imply a surge from those retrieved a year ago, they still fell short of consensus expectations for EPS of $0.84 on revenue of $712.42 million.
