Thursdays' After-Hours Gainers: Adobe, SunEdison, Finisar And Restoration Hardware

Shares of Adobe Systems Incorporated ADBE were trading up more than 4 percent on Thursday’s after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s fourth quarter financial results. The software provider reported earnings of $0.62 per share, two cents above the Street’s consensus estimate, on revenue of $1.306 billion, in line with experts’ expectations.

Also surging on its earnings report was Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc RH, which gained more than 6.6 percent since the bell rang. The Smid cap luxury home furnishings retailer delivered earnings of $0.65 per share on revenue of $532.41 million. While earnings beat the company’s guidance of $0.60 per share and the Street’s consensus of $0.63 per share, revenue fell short of experts’ expectations, which called for $540.03 million in sales.

One of the biggest gainers of the afternoon was Finisar Corporation FNSR, which rose almost 16 percent -since the market closed- on its earnings call as well. The small cap provider of optical subsystems and components retrieved earnings of $0.25 per share on revenue of $321.14 million, beating both the Street’s consensus and management’s guidance, which called for earnings of $0.23 per share on sales of approximately $314.2 million.

Finally, shares of Sunedison Inc SUNE were up more than 7 percent on Thursday’s after-hours trading session, the company announced that, through its partnership with JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPM -- Terra Nova Renewable Partners, it had acquired the Bingham and Oakfield wind farm assets (accounting for 333 megawatts of wind-power) for $209 million in equity.

Brian Wuebbels, SunEdison’s CEO explained, "This transaction represents good value for SunEdison's shareholders and enhances our financial strength and flexibility (…) Terra Nova's purchase is representative of the strong demand we've seen for ownership of SunEdison's attractive renewable energy assets."
