US Stock Futures Gain Ahead Of ADP Report

US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. The ADP national employment report for October will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET, while international trade data for September will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The services PMI for October will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET, while the ISM non-manufacturing index for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 26.5 points to 17,867.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 2.75 points to 2,105.75. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index surged 11 points to 4,723.00.

European markets were mostly higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 1.23 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.93 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.24 percent. French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.87 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.98 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumped 1.30 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 2.15 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index surged 4.31 percent and India's BSE Sensex slipped 0.14 percent.

Analysts at JP Morgan downgraded

from Overweight to Neutral. HP shares rose 3.40 percent to close at $14.30 yesterday.
