5 Stocks Moving In Wednesday's After-Hours Session: eBay, Las Vegas Sands, American Express And More

Shares of eBay Inc EBAY were up more than 8 percent in Wednesday’s after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s third-quarter financial results. The company reported earnings of $0.43 per share on revenue of $2.099 billion, above the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.41 per share and $2.098 billion.

Another stock that rose on its earnings report was Las Vegas Sands Corp. LVS, up about 2.5 percent after the market closed. The casinos operator reported earnings of $0.66 per share, beating the Street’s consensus of $0.63 per share. However, revenue of $2.894 billion fell short of expectations for $2.971 billion in sales.

Citrix Systems, Inc. CTXS was another big gainer of the afternoon. The stock rose more than 6 percent after hours, following an earnings beat and strong guidance. Earnings came in at $1.04 per share on revenue of $$813.3 million, versus experts’ consensus of $0.85 per share and $785.92 million.

American Express Company AXP lost almost 3 percent after the bell rang. The payments giant delivered earnings of $1.24 per share on revenue of $8.193 billion, missing the Street’s consensus expectations, which called for EPS of $1.31 on revenue of $8.382 billion.

CA, Inc. CA was up 2.5 percent. The tech company reported earnings of $0.56 per share on revenue of $1.005 billion, in line with the Street’s consensus.
