reported a loss for its fiscal fourth quarter on Monday. The Broomfield, Colorado-based company reported a quarterly loss of $70.1 million, or $1.92 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $75.4 million, or $2.08 per share. Its revenue climbed 20 percent to $162.1 million. However, analysts were projecting a loss of $1.88 per share on revenue of $150 million. The average estimate among 9 Estimize users was for a loss of $1.89 per share and revenue of $148.89 million. For fiscal 2015, total skier visits, excluding Perisher, climbed 6.5 percent to 8.2 million. Resort net revenue gained 12.7 percent to $1,358.6 million for fiscal 2015. For the upcoming 2015/2016 ski season, sales of season passes through September 20, 2015, excluding Perisher pass sales, rose around 16 percent in units. Rob Katz, Chief Executive Officer, said, "We achieved another year of record-breaking Resort revenue and Resort Reported EBITDA. We are very pleased to complete the year with Resort Reported EBITDA, excluding the non-cash gain on the Park City litigation settlement and Perisher EBITDA, of $342.0 million which was within our original guidance range, despite the impact of challenging conditions in Tahoe throughout the season and in Utah this spring." Vale Resorts shares rose 0.08 percent to close at $107.51 on Friday.
