Thursday's After-Hours Movers Led By Zynga, Nvidia, Nuance And Monster Beverage

Shares of Zynga Inc ZNGA fell 2.39 percent on Thursday trading, ahead of the announcement of the company’s second quarter financial results. Following the call, the stock continued to tumble, before recuperating. Shares are now up more than 2 percent.

The provider of social game services reported a net loss of ($0.01) per share on revenue of $199.92 million, beating the Street’s consensus estimate of ($0.02) per share and $157.2 million.

Unlike Zynga, NVIDIA Corporation NVDA is winning big on its earnings report. The stock is up roughly 9 percent since the bell rang, after the company reported earnings of $0.34 per share on revenue of $1.15 billion.

Earnings comfortably surpassed the Street’s expectations, which called for earnings of $0.11 per share on revenue of $1.012 billion. Management had guided for sales of $1.01 billion.

Also moving on its earnings report is Nuance Communications Inc. NUAN, which is down approximately 5.3 percent after beating the Street’s expectations.

Earnings came in at $0.32 per share, and revenue, at $488.66 million. These results were pretty much in-line with guidance for $0.32 per share and $487 million, but considerably above experts’ consensus of $0.29 per share and $483.52 million.

Monster Beverage Corporation MNST, which plummeted 5.93 percent during the day, continues to fall –almost 2 percent- in after-hours. Earnings of $0.79 per share and revenue of $693.72 million, reported after the bell, fell short of expectations, which called for EPS of $0.90 and sales of $752.9 million.
