Greene King Full-Year Profit Surges

U.K. group Greene King PLC

reported an increase in its pretax profit for the full year. Greene King's pretax profit for the year climbed to 118.2 million pounds ($187.8 million), compared to GBP105.2 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged to GBP1.32 billion from GBP1.3 billion. The company's board recommended a final dividend of 21.8 pence per share, a 4.8% rise from last year. Chief Executive Rooney Anand said, "Greene King has delivered another record year in a challenging trading environment."
